Programs for Enlisted Sailors

Advanced Education Voucher (AEV)

The AEV Program offers advanced education opportunities and provides financial assistance to senior enlisted personnel (E-7 to E-9) to complete a bachelor's or master’s Navy-relevant degree in designated areas of study through off-duty education.

Here are the instructions that govern the AEV program:

Naval War College

The Professional Military Education (PME) programs of the Naval War College small square with diagonal arrow extending from it prepare leaders for the challenges of operational and/or strategic level leadership over the remainder of their careers as decision makers and problem solvers.

Commissioning Programs

Commissioning Programs small square with diagonal arrow extending from it include the Naval Academy, Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC), Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrant Officer (LDO/CWO), Seaman to Admiral 21 (STA-21), and Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program (MECP). These programs offer a chance for qualified enlisted sailors to complete college and earn a commission as a Naval Officer.

Naval Postgraduate School (Cybersecurity)

Enlisted sailors may apply for enrollment in a 12-month Master of Science in Applied Cyber Operations small square with diagonal arrow extending from it program at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) to satisfy a need to increase the Navy’s cyber capabilities while building a professional cyber workforce.
