Navy Education Counseling

Before you can obtain tuition assistance (TA) funding, you must meet with a Navy College Education Counselor a minimum of two times: once to discuss your educational goals and once to review your education plan. These counselors are available to provide you with resources and help you successfully achieve your goals. You can contact the Navy College Virtual Education Center (NCVEC) at any time during your educational journey for help with funding, course selection and degree completion.

Before you schedule an appointment, review the Step 2: Receive Counseling from Navy Education Counselor page if you have not done so already.

Scheduling a Counseling Session with a Navy College Education Counselor

When you are ready to pursue TA funding, schedule the initial session with a Navy College Education Counselor. This NCVEC counseling is conducted via phone, or online help request. In this session, you will discuss your interests and current duties, as well as identify available job aids and checklists that can assist you. You will also talk about available options and programs as well as discuss how and when to best use them to reach your goals. This can save you time, money and effort. Lastly, you will review Navy Voluntary Education requirements. Use the VOLED Appointment Scheduler (see link below) to schedule the appointment.
