Before you can obtain tuition assistance (TA) funding, you must meet with a Navy College Education Counselor a minimum of two times: once to discuss your educational goals and once to review your education plan. These counselors are available to provide you with resources and help you successfully achieve your goals. You can contact the Navy College Virtual Education Center (NCVEC) at any time during your educational journey for help with funding, course selection and degree completion.

When you are ready to pursue TA funding, or if you need assistance with finding a school, you can schedule your initial counseling session with a Navy College Education Counselor. This NCVEC counseling is conducted by phone. In your initial counseling session, you will discuss your career interests, current duties and education goals, and your counselor will identify available education and career resources that may be useful to you. You will also talk about available funding options in addition to TA. Lastly, you will review Navy TA eligibility and training requirements.
