It is your responsibility to contact your NCPACE Command Coordinator about participating in the NCPACE IL program as well as making sure that you have met all requirements, including any prerequisites.
Sailors participating in NCPACE IL have specific responsibilities to ensure their courses are funded through the NCPACE IL. It is your responsibility to report any and all course changes to your NCPACE Command Coordinator, and if the class has started, to your instructor as well. Additionally, you are expected to earn passing grades (C or higher for undergraduate courses).
This section will help guide you through specific issues that may arise as you enroll and complete your courses.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have met any course prerequisites and to provide proof of prerequisites to your NCPACE Command Coordinator and the course instructor. The NCPACE IL Catalog includes any course prerequisites along with course descriptions, available degree plans and contact information for the contractor, Central Texas College.
Students serving on active duty are exempt from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Entrance Examination that is listed as the prerequisite for most NCPACE IL English and math courses. If you are not sure which course to take, recommend that you contact a Navy College Education Counselor.
You are enrolling in a specific NCPACE IL course(s). It is your responsibility to report any and all course changes to your NCPACE Command Coordinator, and if the class has started to your instructor as well.
The add/drop period for an NCPACE IL course is through the completion of the third class meeting.
To add, if space is available, you must ensure that you have met training and other requirements, notify and receive approval from your NCPACE Command Coordinator and complete an official registration form with the instructor.
To drop, you must notify your NCPACE Command Coordinator and the instructor. If you need to withdrawal from a course for reasons outside of your control, you may want to request a command supported withdrawal (WX) with your NCPACE Command Coordinator and your instructor. The withdrawal must be for one of the following reasons:
To drop or withdrawal, you must contact the instructor and your NCPACE Command Coordinator to avoid earning a failing grade.
If you need additional time to complete your IL course, the instructor may award an Incomplete or "I" grade. If an incomplete is awarded, you must complete all required assignments/exams in the timeframe assigned by the instructor. Contact your instructor and notify your NCPACE Command Coordinator.
At the completion of the course, your instructor will provide you with a paper grade report. Once the instructor's rosters are processed by the contractor, your grade will be uploaded into your education record available in My Education and it will also post to your Joint Services Transcript (JST) at the Academic Courses section.
